Queen Bee Early Childhood Center---Together We Can!

A Message From Your Principal, Ms. Price

Each month families will receive a newsletter from the Queen Bee Early Childhood Center. This newsletter will have important information about what your child is doing here at school. It will also contain important dates and reminders about happenings here at school. Please be on the lookout for the monthly newsletter!

GROSS MOTOR PLAY

Everyday students have the opportunity for Gross Motor Play. Gross Motor Play is physical activity that uses the large muscles in the body. It involves whole-body movements such as running, jumping, climbing and throwing a ball! Gross Motor Play is a very important part of the day at the Queen Bee Early Childhood Center. It helps to develop strength, balance and coordination! Here at school, students participate in Gross Motor Play either on our playground or in our gym.

As the weather changes students will continue to go outside as long as the real feel temperature is 19 degrees or above. Please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather! This includes winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants. If you need assistance with these things please let us know!

VETERANS DAY BREAKFAST

Glenside Middle School will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Breakfast on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Whether you are currently serving, a former service member, or have a family member who has served, we would like to welcome all.

The event will start at 7:30 a.m. at Glenside Middle School. If you are interested in attending, please contact the main office at 630-260-6112 or 630-260-6114 to RSVP. We are looking for the number of attendees who will be present for the breakfast, the branch of service, and years.

PARKING LOT SAFETY

The number one priority at Queen Bee Early Childhood Center is safety! Please help us keep our students and families safe by doing your part during pick up and drop off!

  • Please do not use cell phones while picking up and dropping off your child!
  • Always hold your student's hand when walking through the parking lot!
  • Always use the sidewalk when walking your students to and from the door. Please walk them all the way to the door.
  • Do not park, stand, or walk in the bus lane.
  • While waiting for your child at pick up or drop off please remain on the sidewalk.
  • Always park in a parking spot between the white lines.

🐝BUMBLE BEE OF THE MONTH🐝

Each month at the Queen Bee Early Childhood Center we will recognize the Bumble Bees of the Month. These are students who are doing an outstanding job at following our school wide expectorations. This includes our "Go Behaviors" of walking feet and quiet voice.

A special congratulations to the following Bumble Bee's of the Month for October!

THE IMPORTANCE OF ROUTINE

Routines are so important for our developing preschoolers!

The best way you can help build a consistent routine for your child is to have them come to school everyday, on time and ready to learn!

Routines help provide a sense of security, predictability, and control, which supports their emotional, cognitive and social development.

At Queen Bee student safety is our number one priority! When you are coming into the school building you must have a photo ID and be checking in, the office!

It is greatly appreciated if you have the original document with you rather than an electronic copy!
